Article - If we should have to fight again, by Carl Spaatz. Full page color Maxwell House Coffee ad with rocky beach campfire scene painting by Lawrence Beall Smith. Photo essay - Man-made landscapes. Art - the Fourth of July. Boxer Joe Louis wins over Jersey Joe Walcott and retires, great photos of Joan Blonell. Life visits an amateur gardener, Woodrow Wilson Dillard of Decatur, Georgia. Republication convention and Dewey and Warren. Lovely photo of Helen Perry playing the bass fiddle. Nice half page Spalding tennis racket ad. Full page color Camel cigarettes ad with cartoon art of Ken Roberts, rodeo champion.
